I am trying to figure out what is the right amount for total calories. Ft set me up with 3950/day which to be is nuts for someone trying to lose weight. I do a fare bit of cardio 5 days a week plus am on the ft at home lose weight & tone as well as the 12 week ab program. I have had people tell me no more than 2500 cal/day. A personal trainer consultation told me 1200 to 1500 which seems low I am a big guy I dont want to lose 10 lbs a week. I just want to reduce weight increase muscle safely. If it makes a difference here is what I am trying to stay with. tot. cal. 2000/day tot. fat. 30g/day tot. protein 200/250/day tot. carb 250/300/day any suggestions for tweeking or am I on the right track

that is about what i was doing for a while and it worked pretty good you might want to try about 2200 cals i think it looks good to me just my 2 cents ....

Sempai, I as you know am also trying to loose. I was told by ft that I should be getting 3900. A doctor told me 2500. I now eat at least 2500-3000. I have (just measured today) lost a total of 6 inches from the waist. I try to have a small meal every 2-3 hours. They always are very heavy in protein. It is kinda low in fat, and I always give my self a cheat day. I mean this is working for me. And to be honest..I have not really done that much cardio, maybe 2 days a week for 25 min a pop. I know that my progress would be greater, but I can not seem to find the time to do it. Well hope that helps!

LOL I know i do not understand myself. I guess that whenever I get the cardio thing down I might be ripped?! LOL anyway we will see!
