I'm new here and have gained a wealth of info from reading the posts. I just want to ask a question about soreness. Thursday I did some pretty heavy leg exercises and Fri., Sat. I was really sore. Today I'm still sore, although not nearly as bad as I was. It's my day to resume my leg exercises. Should I continue even though I'm sore or wait until the soreness goes away? Maybe I should just do some light cardio or should I continue my weight training full throttle?

I would wait til you're not sore to begin your weight training again. This soreness happens to a lot of beginners and will last a few days, and a lot of the times if you're too sore to move or even if you're sore just sitting there you should wait and rest. Your muscles need time to get used to the shock that they are getting, eventually you will not be sore after much more intense workouts and you will recover faster, but that is if you don't overtrain and do everything. I hope I have helped, you should probably do some light cardio til it goes away.

Is that pretty much saying that if I'm not sure I didn't have an intense workout and won't be getting max benefits :-/
