ive had this pain for awhile.. like a burning pain at the base of my neck. dont know if ive aggrivated something, or maybe its from just being hunched over studying for exams (which are over thank god). it was bad for awhile, had to lie down on the bed after bout an hour of being bent over reading..but its subsided a bit now. i've rested it, and iced it a few times. any suggestions/comments?

I remember that feeling from college!
Try reading with your books elevated. That helped me! I used to set my chair as low as I could and would hold my book (great wrist work out if it's a bit text book!) with my wrists and/or elbows resting on a desk or table.

You could buy an old music easle (don't know what they're really called! You know - the ones designed to hold sheet music?) for future study sessions. Then you can sit back in your chair and keep your chin level which SHOULD effectively reduce neck strain.
