SUp guys, I have been lifting weights for a while and not getting the results i wanted. After finding this site it is obvious why i am not. I am about 6'1" and weigh about 180lbs. My average calorie intake is way to low at around 2000 a day. After reading from this site I have gone out and bought some replacement meal shakes and stakes up on healthy foods to start my "new training session." I have also completed the fitness profile and will be doing the size and mass exercises.
My questions are:
Is there a site where i can find out what an average/above average training schedule should be(for example How many reps at how much weight i should be at.)
After I complete this weight gaining/mass building reigm, what would be a good way to tone down while keeping most of the muscle i have gained.(calorie deficit?)
Does anyone know if products such as ab-solved or lipoderm-ultra work when slimming down. THey are said to help with spot reduction.
Ok go to the Health Resources at the top of the page - in the execrise part there is a max weight - do each execrise for what you think you can do - as long as you can't do more than 17 - put that amount in - it will tell you what your max amount is
OK - someone who does mass correct me if I get this part wrong - the program here usually has 3 to 4 set for the group of reps
on the 3 sets do 60%, 70% then 80%
for the 4 sets, add 85% for the last time
the reps will print out as the target - if you go over too much then you need to up the wieght (do check your max wieght at least every month if not every 2 weeks)- but that is the what you should aim for.
to tone down afterwards - keep lifting but cut your calories - try cutting 200 a day - for a week & then cut another 200 - until you get where you want to be then find where you can keep it
spot reduce products are a waste of money - you have to get rid fat to reduct - but building muscle will help you reduce
