I'm on my 8th week of the Weight Loss, Lean Muscle program and haven't seen much of a result. I try to do cardio on my off days but it does not always happen. So basically, I've been doing mostly lifting.
WHen trying to lose fat, what presents a greater return during the short-term? I know long-term weight lifting is the way to go but if I want to try to decrease bf in short-term should I focus on cardio with some weights to maintain muscle mass?

What type of cardio are you doing? HIIT might boost your fat burning.

If I have time I do HIIT after lifting. On my off days I will do 40 mins or so of intense cardio. I follow the FT program for Mon, Tues, and Weds and as the program progesses I have less time for cardio. I only have an hour or so at the gym. If I follow the program, I only end up having time to lift. Maybe decrease some of the lifting and add some HIIT afterwards. I just to utilize my time the best way possible. Is it okay to do HIIT three times a week?

Monday - I lift (chest, back, and abs) - if possible I try to do some HIIT
Tuesday - I will try to do 45 mins or so ofcardio (sometimes my schedule doesn't allow it)
Wednedsay - I life (Bi's, Tri's, shoulders) and if possible HIIT
Thursday - Try do 45 of cardio again
Friday - Legs and abs. This day of lifting is shorter so I have time for HIIT
I want to be able to have time to do cardio after my lifting. The lifting program now takes up the whole hour i have available to workout (lunch break)
