A broader Forearm, maybe its not the forearm that needs training but the finger flexors.:dumbbell:

the size of your wrists is pretty fixed....size wise...you can get them stronger...

yea wrists are about bone structure.....not many muscles in wrists....just ligaments tendons etc.

this is just a picture of the muscles around and connected to your hand through your arm. might help as far as conc. training on those certain muscles. i think andrew is right though. if you look at the picture, or even feel your wrists, there isnt much there muscles wise. if you trained any muscles it would probably have to be the abductor pollicis longus. there is a pic on the website. it is the muscle that goes along the underside of your wrists.

i forget what it's called but our bodies naturally have this mechanism to prevent muscle growth around certain areas like wrists...myostanin...it generally prevents our muscles from getting overly large...

I have to say, now that I've seen this post, that I have actually found my wrists have gotten bigger, the top side, since I started doing weights & boxing, which really freaked me out as I have always had smaller wrists and didn't anticipate any difference if not them decreasing even more. I don't know what I am doing as from what I am reading it seems the underside is what would increase, but this is the opposite. Does it maybe have something to do with the boxing??

Your body may have "added" extra cushioning stuff......weither it be fluid, or maybe cartlage......to help soften the blow and absorb the impact of the punching...just a thought

that or hitting stuff so much has, pushed the ligamnets back into the muscle and wrists joints, causing stuff to pouch outward apearing thicker....kinda like a crushed can. again only a thought
