I've been on this eating plan for about 6 months and alot of the recipes require 2 scoops of protein powder.
I work out, but honestly, I am no bodybuilder, so I don't work out that hard.
I haven't lost any weight, but have bulked up somewhat. I know my thyroid is underactive, but I'm wondering if its the protein I'm consuming that's doing it?
I'm trying to figure out reasons why I'm gaining and not losing. My husband says its the protein power -- I just don't know anymore. I'm so frustrated.

i'd have to ask......you sure its just protein powder and not a weight gainer?
Whats the rest of your diet like? is it clean?
If your protein goals are not that high....use one scoop!
One usually bulks up....because of fat over on top of the muscle.....eg. NFL lineman, soem powerlifters....bouncers etc. I'd say if your "bulking" up too much......
then your either not doing enough cardio......or theres somthing your not watching in your diet.

You need to adjust your calories for your energy expenditure. If you are using 2 scoops of protein and not working out that hard, you are probably wasting it at best.
First and foremost, to tap your bodyfat stores you need to create a caloric deficit. This means knowing your maintenance and going below it with diet and/or exercise. Prefferably both. If you are not doing this, you will not see the results you seek.
