Hi im 18 and have Scoliosis

Hi i got Scoliosis and weigh about 260lbs and i had surgery on it in late 2000 i still got a bar in my back... any good exercises for someone with a bar in his back? i want to lose my gut...it'll make me feel good looking better...i have no use of exercise Equipment just whats around the house... any help will be usefull plz thnx

One thing is to make sure you talk with you doctor to make sure you have no restrictions...and if you do what they are. Second thing is to start slow and small. Baby steps so to speak. I would go see the doc and in the mean time start a very low impact areobic routine like walking swimming etc.

And don't forget, your diet plays an important role. You need to get enough of the right kind of foods. Check out the thread titled Grocery list for a bodybuilder on the nutrition forum.

was it a functional or structural scoliosis?
