cardio question?

I just bought a statioary bike from sears....i want to lose like 40lbs with a good diet and excersise...i would like know how much cardio shuld i do....I wan to do 1 hour in morning at 5am and at 7pm at night for 1 hour is that ok?

Are you lifting?? I would change one of those to lifting & building muscle so the muscle would help you lose the fat faster
