I been researching about cardio and weights together so i came up with my own plans, i need help on which should i stick on...
1st
5 minute of treadmill warm up then weights then after that i do about 20 to 30 minutes of treadmill. ( should i take my protein shake after weights or after all the workout session is done?, wouldnt it make you throw up since your about to run? )
2nd plan
I do weights on a monday then i do my cardio on a tuesday and thursday i do my weights again and then friday i do my cardio so i have about 3 rest days. does this mean i have to take a protein shake each day i do my workout?
which one would be better since im doing football and im a cornerback and a receiver need mass and endurnce. any thing you guys can give me would be great help! thax.:dumbbell:

If you want to gain mass and muscular endurance you need to do a lot more weights than cardio. I would go 3 days of lifting heavy weights, and three days of cardio, and one day of rest. Cardio should be limited to about thirty minutes a session. The best cardio for you to do would be HIIT, since this can help burn fat and keep your muscle. And yes it is best to take a protein shake after each workout, especially the weight workouts.

well, like crispy said, since your looking for strength mass and endurance you might want to go heavier on the weights and not do as much cardio because you need at least 500 calories more then you burn to gain muscle mass.
