hi, I just started working out on a home gym. I am 6', 200 lbs. I'd like to lose probably 15 lbs. I don't want to bulk up, and I don't really care if I get shredded/ripped. I just want to lose a bit of fat, tone up, look a little better.

1) Right now, I'm doing a total body workout everytime. I start with abs, then do some arms, then chest/back and finish with legs. I go through this three times, moderate amount of weight, I can do about 20 reps.

2) I am working out every day, mostly because I am bored. I don't know if this is a good thing to do... would it be better to take some days off? I don't mind working out everyday, but if it's not effective, I would change.

Any comments or advice would be appreciated. I don't know if I should be targeting only one area per day or how I should do it.

thanks.

try it every other day - you aren't giving your muscles time to grow - on the other days do some type of cardio like walking/running or inline skating
