Past few months, i have been lifting 5 times a week and cardio 3 times a week, and i have gained about 5lbs, but now i wanna shred and trim down about 10lbs by March....
Please give me advice if this routine is good or bad to lose weight....and I do eat 6 small meals a day, and they are pretty healthy...

Mon,Wed,Fri - weight training (1hour) and light cardio after for 20-30minutes
Tues, Thurs - cardio (1hour) first thing in the morning and HIIT in the evening
Sat, Sun- rest

I think that might be a bit overtraining. 1 hour of cardio isn't necessary and the 1 hour of weight training isn't either since your trying to lose weight.

The weight training is a good thing! DONT stop that, you may have gained 5 lbs but if you have been weight lifting it will be muscle and not fat. Muscle will help you lose weight faster because it raises your metabolism and burns fat faster. Try doing a light warmup before your weights instead of after.

The cardio is good, your probably not overdoing it if its just twice a week. Is it intense cardio? HIIT is good if you are trying to lose weight except I would suggest doing it in the morning as it will boost your metabolism for the day. Mabye try alternating cardio workouts? one day do HIIT in the morning the other day do your other cardio.

DX, where do you get your information? what you suggested seems seriously flawed IMHO.

I think you should drop the cardio after the weight training (maybe do it at night if you really insist if you are lifting in the morning)

move the HIIT to first thing in the morning
