I posted a request about a week ago, but I have had no responses, so I am restating my request.

Can someone give me an example meal plan for 3500 calories and another example for 3000 calories?

I like to eat :

1- egg beaters
2- bread
3- Turkey and chicken breast and some beef
4- brocolli and carrots and other greens
5- Lunch I eat out at the deli. usually turkey and chicken sandwiches...sometimes bagel sandwiches with sliced meat.
6- spaghetti with 1/4 cup spaghetti sauce
7- yoghurt
8- I can take all the supplemental shakes I need.

Many thanks.

It probably wasnt answered because nobody wants to take the time and figure out your meals for you. My advice would be to find out how many calories are in the food that you like and figure it out yourself.

That's strange.
For an experience nutritionist, a simple question like is nothing. They would right away know off the top of their head what meals will provide 3000 calories.

I will look else where.
Thanks.

Here are some diet plans I found on the web.

http://shs.unc.edu/library/articles/3000.doc

http://athletics.ucsd.edu/strength/Team%20Nutrition/24003000mealplan.htm

It's so easily available on the web. I don't know why I spent time here hoping for someone to help.

hecdarec, why do you have to be so friggin sarcastic? People come here for support, not for your comments that you think are witty. Remember: People come here for guidence and support

Hec does have a point, it takes much time and effort to devise a meal plan for someone.

The best and easiest thing for you do in reality(and this is not copping out, it is the best plan), is take the foods you say you like to eat, and eat daily. Now, for 5 days, write down everything you put in your mouth, calorie amount, etc for everything. After 5 days, average up your calorie intake. If you have stayed exactly the same in weight with your normal activity level included, then this will be real close to your maintenance level. This is much more important than having someone set you a number like 3000, because we are all different.(metabolic rates, age, activity levels, etc.) Now, if you have stayed the same, as mentioned you have your maintenance level, and you can start to make intelligent calorie cuts(I am assuming you are looking to lose fat) from this point. 250 per day for example is great. Let the losses pan out, the adjust again as needed. You can do some of the calorie cuts by adding exercise(burning more calories).

Hope this makes sense, it really is the most reliable way to meet your personal needs. We could make up a diet that would be 3000 calories, but this may not really be right for you. You need to find YOUR maintenance calories and go from there.

Oh, I agree, I just think that a more supportive answer could have been given.

I think that hec is funny and I am sarcastic too, so I understand, but a lot of people may not.

Asking for help is one thing, asking someone else to do it for you is another.

There is enough really pointed information on these boards to be able to figure out at least a basic meal plan and the timing and calories involved if a person is willing to make the committment to do some reading.

If amt wants the advice of a nutrionist, he/she should go pay for a consultation and not be hateful to the volunteers on this site.

i am with ANNI and HEC, we can help, but is up to you to make the effort. a meal plant needs a lot of patience to do it. need to be careful and choose good nutrients.

make your meal plan post it and then we can critizise it.

I wasnt being sarcastic. I am not, nor do I expect others to sit around and figure out people calories for them. I am sorry that you did not like the way that I responded dandiet. Perhaps you would like to sit down and figure out his meals for him?
