if you go to mybodycomp.com i believe they give you the general guidelines of where to measure to get accurate numbers. typically, i do a natural waist measurement, an abdomen measurement (around my navel), my hips (around the widest part of that area), and i measure my thighs individually (around the largest part of the quad.) hope that helps a little more than the previous post :)

Most of us are using mybodycomp.com. It has a diagram of me on there showing where to put the tape measure. You have to register, and it is all free. It's worth taking the time.
Glad your measuring and not weighing! Good luck.

Thank you Howdiekat and Carivan. You answered exactly what I needed to know. I am weighing myself as well, however, I know I will probably lose inches before I drop any real weight. I started Nov 1st by doing an hour of cardio and eating better and drinking TONS of water, this week was my 1st week of my FT program. Wow do my calves ever hurt. I dont thin I have ever even done a calf raise until this week.LOL Thanks again for helping me out.

Shelly:)
