They are adjustable dumbells, kind of pricey but seem cool for a home gym. Here is the website take a look....http://www.powerblocks.com/

ohhhh ok, yea yea seen them in the back of mags, i have no clue how good they are, but if they use magnets or whatever,i woudl think it would be a hassel if they went out or broke and you have to get them fixed. Or worse they malfunction in the middle of a rep,and they go from 30lbs resistance to 200lbs or resistance lol
I'd go to a used sports store my self, and get soem used ones(db), then resale them back when I no longer needed them. And up graded to a bigger set.

They have a lifetime warranty and there are 2 levels one goes from 0-75 and the next level goes from 0-125 I think. they cost about 750 I think for the heavier set but a liked price for reg dumbles is about 1200-1500 and then you have to have space for all those sets. When I can afford it I think I am going to get some

yeah i have a set of hex db's from 15lbs to 75lbs at every 5lb increments and i am sick of the space they are taking up and a friend wants to buy them so i can pick up the powerblocks without dropping too much cash on them, a few other companies make some similar type dumbells but with the warranty and everything i have seen so far i think im going to give the powerblocks a try. i will let you guys know what i think of them when i get a set....

For home use, they are and excellent alternative to a full dumbell set because they will save alot of space and cost. The are very well made, & if not abused should have an unlimited life expectancy. Obviously they aren't practical for commercial applications.

Yup they are very nice though I do like the design of the bowflex ones better, but since they only go to 52lbs they would be rather useless for me LOL.
