Why buy a book? All the info you need is right here.
But I can tell you ahead of time, having a six-pack is about 90% diet.

Yep, as many heavy ones as you can find, lay them on your stomach for resistance when you do your ab work. No big secret, resistance training for the abs and proper diet.

this subject is so incredibly complex and misunderstood that it would take months to explain it all. did you know there are 8 nerve innervations in the rectus ALONE! if this doesn't impress you, think of it this way...it's like having eight seperate brains for one muscle.
or how about this: the musculature of the core is there to dissipate the majority of the compressive load away from the spine. it is also important for breathing, visceral function, peristalsis, they are prime movers for movements of flexion, rotation and side bend, they are gross stabilizers in many movements, they create internal abdominal pressure that helps with extension of the spine and decompression as well. these functions are just a few of the countless that are out there.
so i pose this question...with these functions being necessary to health and vitality, how do crunches from the floor (using approximately 40% of the available range of motion) effectively condition the core?
so the whole point that i'm trying to make here is when finding books for information, keep these priciples in mind. you'll be surprised to see just how many "experts" know absolutely nothing about core development.
open for descussion

When first starting to read the above post, my initial thoughts were this is a junk post, somebody posting nonsense, but as I read on it is actually a very good post. Well said, hope all who read it read all the way through it.

I agree....it is a good post. Just started out kind of funny, kind of resembled at the beginning some crank posts we have been getting. This is why I thought it at first. Turned out to be a very good post.
