I have been doing wrist curls myself, and let me tell you, my forarms have exploded. Doing wrist curls will help for basketball due to dribbling, and even shooting will require forarm strength.

Wrist curls are great. Always do some variation of them on arm days.

Wrist curls are really helpful. Like bb1 says, always do different types.

Strong forearms are important for all of the above as well as grip (strong foreares help your grip when you are either doing more reps or heavier reps or a combo of both)

Wrist curls, are a great exercise for the forearm flexors,I would do three sets of twelve or ten, then do reverse wrist curls to work the forearm extensors, for equal development.
