Ive been mixing a Low Carb Diet/Low Calorie Diet with Exersize, suppliments and Cardio. Now my main question is can the low carb diet effect my muscle growth at all?

Im intaking under 40 carbs a day and trying to keep calorie intake below 1100k a day, i still have all the energy i use to have and ive been doing it for a month or so.

At the moment im about 6 foot, down to 210, and im 19 going on 20. Ive been on this diet for about a month, 2 months. Also i didnt mention that i get one cheat day a week.

As for the protien, i eat some chicken/turkey ect after my work out with in the hour to help rebuild and what not.

1000 calories a day is not sufficient for your weight and height. Try adding in some more protien and healthy carbs, and you will start seeing some more results!

CristalBelle and cbas1 and both right. With that low of a calorie intake your body is in starvation mode. This means that your body will be eatting all your hard earned muscle for energy, while storing any food you put into yourself as fat.

You need to get on a healthy diet ASAP.

- If your hungry all the time, your not eating enough. And anyways, being hungry sucks.

What you are doing is a very bad imitation at best of a CKD diet. While I am not a fan of CKD, it does work and is used fairly extensively in the bb community.

Cbas1 gave you excellent advice, figuring your maintenance to be somewhere in the are of 2900 or so, and assuming a metabolic slowdown of around 400 or so, at bare minimum bring your calories up to the above suggestion of 2200. However, do not do it all at once, your body in the state it is in may well react very quickly and do some quick fat storage.
