I just did my first back workout based off of this site. My entire back is in pain, especially the lower area from doing deadlifts. I only did 135 lbs for each set but it's been 2 days and it kinda hurts to walk. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being painful as #@% my back pain right now is 6. Has anyone else had this kind of pain? I made sure I did the exercise correctly, didn't go heavy and I've been lifting for quite some time but I haven't done deadlifts in years. Could that just be the reason why I have this muscle soreness?

Could be.. if the muscle group isn't used to it, you likely scared the hell out of them... I know the first time I did them I had DOMS for a couple days.. however, if it doesn't go away in a couple more days you might need to see a doctor...

Did your back hurt straight away or did it come on the next day?
If it hurt straight away definitely see your doc/physio/chiropracter

I thought I'd injured my back when I started doing deadlifts, but it eased after 3 days, so it may just be doms
