Hey everyone as some of you know i'm trying to loose some fat and was wondering if i should continue to insuline spike while on a cutting cycle. Right PWO i have been mixing 50g. of whey isolate protein and a mix of malto and dextrose using a 1\2 a scoop of each one full scoop of dextrose is 40g. so 20g. of dextrose and 22g. of malto. i'm about 185lbs. does this sound right? also do i have to acount all the calories in my PWO shak it's 360 calories all together and it doesn't even really fill me up that long.

You are at a good starting point for your cut. At 185 lbs., these are good numbers, 46 gr. protein, 22 each of malto and dextrose. Mind you, these are starting numbers, as you go, you can and will adjust them downwards. But insulin "spiking" is still a necessisty cutting, as you really need to get anabolic as quickly as possible to avoid more tissue breakdown. Your goal here is to burn fat and preserve mass, you will not be building any if your diet is correct. This means a caloric deficit to tap into your fat stores, so it is virtually impossible to build any muscle, holding on to lean tissue after you start getting pretty lean is hard enough.

ok good i thought you should continue to insuline spike even while cutting, just wanted to be sure. Is there a time frame in which you should cut?

You will have to be the judge of that...certain factors will determine this..i.e...level of bodyfat reached, energy expenditure, etc. For instance, I cut mine down on an arm day as compared to a leg day...legs are a thourough body workoutk, and heavy energy expenditure. Even though you may work arms hard, they still take nowhere near the energy expenditure that a leg torture day does.

I'm a little confused here bb1. are you talking about cutting the amount of dextrose and malto on arm day as compared to a leg day? I was talking about how long to be on a cutting cycle.
