Hello, first post.
I had been doing a friend of mine's situps, you go up and then u dont come back down then you go from side to side, keeping yourself in the air. It was working well, it was hard. However for about a week I haven't been able to do them, I go to my right then when I go to my left and try to go back my muscles lock up and refuse to work, no matter how hard I try.
Any thoughts on this? I was thinking I just need more rest.

This may in fact be true, do not do them every day. If you are interested in a "six pack", you will need to add resistance to your situps to build that muscle. Then they need some rest. I am not a big fan of doing a bunch of fancy twisting exercises anyway, in my opinion and easy way to get hurt. One other note, in the end it comes down to your diet. No matter how many thousands of situps you do, if you do not have a good clean diet, you will not see those abs.
