Well I've not ran my usual route for about 2 weeks. After a week of only running on the treadmill in the gym I decided to get back out on the road. Prior to today I had been doing a run/walk split. Anyway, decided to see how far I could go. After a cpl of mins brisk walk I went up to my normal pace (slow!) head down and ran . . . and ran . . . and ran. Only stopped to cross roads etc (but kept jogging on the spot). I kept it going for my whole route. Even at the end when I see the final stretch. Long road leading up to a hill I just keep going. Made it to the top of the hill and then I was on my street. Walked back to the house for my warm down and did some stretches.
As the heading says, it's a small achievement but one I'm proud of. I hope to keep getting stronger on my circuit and then changing it, making it longer, different route.
Now all I've got to do is survive my shift at work! :surprised:
