Right now on the fitness plan, I am on the mass muscle program and on the nutrional plan I am also on the mass muscle program. However, would it benefit me if I went on the fat loss nutrional plan so that I could gain muscle and lose more fat at the same time? Or does it not work this way?

It is impossible to turn fat into muscle, You can burn the fat and build muscle.

I don't see anything listed on your profile that would help determine what your current situation is and what your goals are, but if you are overweight and trying to lose, it is a good idea to improve upon your eating habits. If you are trying to build mass and don't have a weight problem you will eat differently than if you are overweight and trying to lose WHILE weight training to improve muscle mass. You should probably read up in some of the forums and the sticky notes at the top for more information, too, as they are very, very helpful.
I am not quite sure, as I said, as your profile does not suggest where you are at, but some bodybuilding programs call for a different level of nutrition due to the needs of your body whereas a weight loss program would be much different in many aspects.
Good luck to you!!

What GG and VK say is true. However while on the mass plan you can gain more lean muscle than fat. Lets say you gain 6 lbs of muscle on the 12 week plan. You eat carefully and gain 7 lbs altogether during the 12 weeks.. Your overall bodyfat % would drop as you gained the muscle. Make sense??
