Alright, I have been lifting and getting bigger. Now I want to cut down a bit and try to get my abs to show. While I am cutting and lowering my caloric intake, is there any reason for me to go the gym and lift? There is no way to gain muscle if i cut my calorieis so should I still lift?

Yes you should continue to lift. You need to maintain the muscle you worked so hard to get. I would suggest doing more repetitions to help with definition. my $0.02

blnussbaum,
Keep lifting as heavy as you can, in good form as you gradually refine your diet.
You have to try and maintain your lifts for as long as you can while you cut to convince your body that it still needs the muscle.
Do you have a comp, or just wanting to be more cut?

No, I am not like an actual body builder. I just lift weights to stay in shape and get buff:)....It's just that while I was eating so much to gain I started gaining weight in my stomach and love handles. I want to get rid of that, and then continue with gaining muscle.
