I'm into week two of my program here at FT. My exercise charts do not specify any rest periods. In my earlier routine I used to take a 60 second break in week one and then no breaks at week 4. Any ideas as to what the approach is here?
I'm also curious to know if I can swap Seated Calf raises and replace with standing calf raises. Any issues there?
Finally what happens to the forms we fill out once we finish our workouts? Do we get back anything even if we are not members of the ft Pro?
Thanks
Julian

1) 30-90 seconds, depending on how heavy you are lifting
2) yes, standing will work it a little differently, but you are still working your calves.
3) i have no idea what happens to your forms.. sorry:)

Thanks for your response Amy...so as a rule of thumb, do rest periods increase as the weight go up? or do they go down? Trying to find the corelation between rest periods and weights. Also do the number of reps and/or sets play a role?

As weight goes up so do rest periods. Especially true the closer you get to your max and on compound lifts. Not sure I understand what you're askin about reps and sets.Higher reps=more endurance. Lower reps = strength and or mass. Is that what you mean?

So lower reps = strength and mass, which would translate to longer rest periods? I feel I have developed the endurance and would like to gain more strength and mass. With that goal in mind I think I should do fewer reps with more weights and longer rest periods.
Am I getting it right?

Yes. Also, when trying to gain, look to your diet.
