My buddy and i went to the sports store and i bought 2 40lb dumbells cuz my friend had said i would get bigger quicker what should be the set of reps, to a degree i know you guys aren't me so and educated guess would be great, but thanks!

If 40 lb. dumbbells are all you have, warm up with something first, like for instance chest, do pushups to warm up. Your amount of reps should be an amount that you fail toward the last 2, really have to work to get these out. You will most likely have to get some other weights, as these will be most probably too easy on some bodyparts and too much for others.

All you gotta do is progress. Don't worry about what's alot. Keep moving ahead. Thats what its all about.

The biceps are naturally a weak muscle, all for show, not really very functional for other than bending your arm. If you have never worked them before, it is not at all unusual to be weak in them. Keep at it, you will do fine and progress fast.

thanks guys you kind of helped me, but ill keep at it, like i am.. but yeah its gettin pretty easy i have only had them for about a week, im getin pretty used to them.. and i'm glad some1 could explauin the bicep for me, and make me feel alot better:dumbbell:
