Here's my dillema. Im 19, 6'1 and weigh maybe 150. I'm already skinny so i dont think i want to get cut per say but maybe gain some weight and turn it into mass and then get cut so im not bulky at all. The thing is im not sure what i can eat to put on the pounds because for one i think i may be lactose intolerant. And two just about anything greasy makes me sick. To add on to that there's no gym around my house open past 9 pm and i always get off work at 10 and go in at noon or something. Im usually lifting heavy material everyday so my question is; would it be taking away from my workout to go to work and do more lifting shortly after getting out of the gym? thanks

Hi Dmoney and welcome to FT!
Check out the diet part of the forum. There are a lot of stickies there with menus and such, for body building and gaining mass. Im sure you will find exactly what you are looking for. For the lactose intolerance you could substitute soy products. Lots of good protein and healthy to boot.

Also check out fitBuddy at the bottom of the page, key in your question and it will pull up tons of info for you.

Good luck in finding what you need,
Donna

well 1st off welcome........2nd try a good mass progarm on here......
Go to a vitamen shop or gnc or somthing an dget you a good weight gainer......somthing with like 50 carbs and 50 grams of protein per serving, isopure i think is lactose free.......and try soy milk maybe a lil easier on the stomache.
Really look at your diet, eat clean and eat ever 3 to 4 hours, 4 hours being the longest you go with out food, except for of coarse when you sleep. If you wanna get bigger your gonn ahave to have a good diet, and hitt the weights at least 3 times a week. IF your active at your job good, all that lifts wil help as well, just make sure you get alot of calories. anything else let us know....

but soy is mostly for women's hormones. try whey supplements. but mainly weight gainers at your local vitamen shop. i was on one of arnold schwarzenegger's diets from one of his books, it worked. in 4 days i gained 5 lbs. but then i got sick of eating the same foods everyday.
anyways get a weight gainer. stay away from creatine till you can gain a few lbs of real muscle.

If you have lactose problems, do not get whey concentrates. Try a whey isolate instead.
