I got shin splints and tendonitis in my ankles about a year ago from playing basketball(practice 2wice a week and 4 game weekends) I got it back this season, and my ankles and shins hurt alot when i run or jog, or do cardio kickboxing. Does anyone know some high intensity cardiovascular exercises i could do that wouldn't put too much strain on my ankles?
Ease into your program, and stretch and ice after every workout.
Try the elliptical trainer - it is very low impact and you can 'run' on it without getting shin splints. I like doing HIIT on mine.
