Hi everyone, I'm Salvador, the reason I ask this is mainly because I'm trying to get rid of that disgusting habit I have, I've had it for almost 8 years now, I know I'm 20, yes I started smoking at 12! I know in general that smoking can kill me for different reasons, now that I decided to drop it, it's been almost a month since I last smoked a cigar, and aside from the first week in which I suffered a from a terrible abstinence syndrome, this past weeks I haven't felt specially different from when I smoked, my workout sessions are quite the same, the only difference I noticed is that I don't sleep as much as I did before, I'm don't usually feel tired like when I smoked.

And besides... Think of all the money you are saving. How many tubs of Whey Protein Powder can you buy with your smokes budget? Or increase your grocery budget to afford better food. So many silver linings to the "quit smoking cloud".

Hi, while on the topic of smoking I was wondering if anyone had some successful ways to quit smoking. I'm 17 years old and I've been smoking for 3 years. I really wanna quit and I've tried to stop cold turkey, but its not working for me. So if anyone has any ways to quit, I'd be thankful.:)

heyyo. i quit smoking a little over a month ago. i'm 20 also. i used to smoke at least a pack a day, usually more like a pack and ahalf to two.
smoking has lots of affects on your workout. it shrinks the size of your veins and shit so your muscles don't get as much blood as you otherwise would, that's why smokings the main cause of erectile dysfunction in old guys.
i tried quitting about 50 times before this one and they never worked. i used the patch this time and it has worked better than anything before. quitting coldturkey can be dangerous, the withdrawal can be very bad for your health. i know my friends dad went to the hospital when he quit.
the only things i can say about the patch are... its expensive about 50 dollars for a 2 week supply. and make sure you put it on a part of your body that is most well rested. i noticed that if i just worked out my arms or shoulder and put it on my upper arm, my arm would be 10x as sore as it usually was. good luck in quitting.
