I just want to be clear on what I want to do. I want to look better, feel better and be stronger, but I dont' want to come out looking like Arnold or anything. I've read the cardio post which was awesome, but now I'm looking at some guidance on what type of exercises I should be doing for strength, toning and weight loss...if there is such a thing for this equation.

Yes, sign up for one of the programs here on FT, it's easy. Just click on exercise program at the top of your screen, fill in some information and FT will do the rest. Don't worry about getting huge like Arnold, that takes genetics, years of hard work and a squeaky clean diet. I think Arnold had some pharmaceutical help as well, and we don't advocate that.

Great advice anni...one thing to add to Reckin...we TRY very hard for years to get big and it is very, very difficult at best. You do not have to worry, you will not come out looking like Arnold!

haha, sorry about the Arnold Schwarzenegger comparison, I definetly did not mean to offend anyone. I was only using it as an example because I'm not really looking to have a huge bulk of muscle mass, I am trying to become leaner, thinner, but at the same time, stronger. I realize it takes years and years, and tons and tons of discipline to maintain the body structure most of you seem to have and I commend that totally, it's just not what I have in mind

Reckin your Arnold comment was not offensive to anyone and was a good example. A lot of people think weight lifting means instant, huge bulkly muscles and it just doesn't. We're glad to have you here at FT and keep asking questions.
