High Intensity Interval Training, Im not exactly sure myself what it entails, but I do know that it's recommended to only do between 16 and 20 minutes of it. It consists of cardio at a certain level and then upping the heart rate for short bursts. Like going for a fast walk and then sprinting 20 secs then back to the walk and sprint again.
Use fit buddy (at the bottom of your screen) there will be more info there.

Bang on DeeTee...
You up the heart rate for a certain length of time... about 30 seconds, and then slow the pace down for about 30 seconds. The length of time can vary. I've done a minute high paced and a two slow. It only takes about 15 to 20 minutes to get the HIIT in... as DeeTee said, use fit buddy to do a quick search to get a more accurate description of your heart rate and such.

HIIT rocks!! I used this method on the treadmill and I can run the same distance, and burn the same amount, if not more, calories than the same time used at a moderate pace. Plus, it just feels better afterward.

Supposedly you do a specified amt. of time very high intensity, and then lower it for half that time ie: 1:00 hi, 30sec recovery(active)

(yes I saw that on another boards\' sig. :)
