After my weight training I like to just shoot hoops. Not play a game but simply shoot around. Could this be considered a form of HIIT? I mean I shoot, chase the ball around, stand there, shoot and do it all over again. If I did this for 20 minutes would it be the same as if I used the treadmill and did my HIIT. The reason why I am asking cause I am bored of cardio using the treadmill but love shooting hoops.
You should also try to incorporate a lay-up drill into it. If you have a full court to work with you can run the entire length, but if you don't, a partner or two would help with chasing down the ball(s).
