Hey guys I have a little question for you.
I've lifted in highschool, love it and was very good but I stoped because I didn't have time durring college.
Now that college is out for the summer, I want to get started and so that by next simester I could be going on a regular basis.

I went yesterday and I am in great pain today. It's okay. I knew it was comming.
But Damn it I feel so week and it's embarassing.
When I was in highschool, I weighed 130 - 135 lbs senior year but I would bench 205 and would have had 2 plates up if I actually attended the class more often and did my work. So you see now I come back and I can't even push a plate. No strength or stamina. No one knows me there but it's embarassing to me.

What can I do?

Also, should continue my workout and keep going or stop and try to warm up my body and get it ready for the freetrainers.com workouts?

In highschool I heart my back. Well no, my bitch ass teacher hurt it for me. Still sour about that and now I'm woried to work it. I have multiple scoliosis. Can't sleep for long, wake up in pain, shoulders are uneven, shoulder blades, one is lower then the other. DAMN him! sorry.

Anyway, afraid to work out my back. But I know that it's weak because I've always been avoiding it. But I also don't want to just jump in and screw it up.

I'm sorry for the long post. Too many things in one sitting.

Thank you,
Vitaliy

Weight is only a Number, don't focus on the amount you lift, or you will put it up to high to Quickly, and will be cheating. Focus on Form, and don't get caught up in "how much you can lift" The weight will come with time, stay in good form, and lift whatever weight is Challenging for you.

As for your Back, I think youi should Still do light weight for lower back, and maybe moderate for Lats. Of course I am not a Physician, and you may want to consult one before starting that, I'm not sure. But deff stay light if you have any back issues.

Vitaliy -
Start slowly and only do one back exercise - write it down and only do that one exercise for back for a few weeks (work the rest of your body normally). If the first back exercise doesn't aggravate your back - add a new one and write it down. you can eliminate exercises that aggravate your back this way.

Leave your ego at home and go back to the gym. If you don't get in there and make it a habit, you will never be stronger or get to know any of the people there. Become a regular and when you notice other new faces - welcome them the way you would want to be welcomed.

If you fall down seven times, get up eight.
