I saw in your profile you just discovered HIIT.. If you are using the exercises you describe in an interval method, for about 15-20 minutes, that is great.
It's all about your heart rate, if you are getting it up to 85% for 30 sec to a min, then back down to 65%, then up to 75%, then 85%, etc you are boosting your metabolism very effectively and helping your body burn fat more efficiently.
Be sure you are eating properly so as to not burn your muscles instead of the fat!
