Here's my delima. I have gone through 2 ft programs and seen little to no results. I went to a trainer at the gym and his routine for me was two times more productive than any of the programs I have tried on this site. For instance, the ft back day only gives you 3 movements, hyperextensions, cable rows, and pull downs. All 16,14,12,12. The trainer made me start at pull downs, 3 wide and 3 close. Then bent over dumbell rows 3 sets. Single arm standing row 2 sets, seated cable rows 2 sets. All at 10-12 for 3 weeks and then change to 7-9 for 3 weeks. So how many movements should you per body part to get good results and burn calories.

So I gather from you post that the trainer helped out because he was there? Maybe that is why the Ft routine did not workout for you. As for movements, I usually have 3-4 main exercises and if I feel they were not enough Ia dd one to two more.
