Im sure its been asked a million times already but i cant find it..
should i be going to the gym to wreck my muscles, i mean its well knowen that if u wake up in the morning and youre pretty sore youve ripped the muscle and it heal and give you mass.. the only problem is that i dont wake up in the morning that sore, i mean i can feel it slightly, but the first few times i went to the gym i was completly shattered the day after. im in the gym for a quite awhile, basically till my muscles are exahusted.. im doing 12 reps, 3 sets for everything. should i up the weight and down the reps???

If the 12th rep isn't difficult then up the weight!

Muscle soreness can be alot worse when you are first starting out, as yogiponappa said, the muscles aren't used to it.

Everyone's level of soreness can vary though.. I can't decide if I'm just used to the soreness or if it really is less sometimes!
