haya all...
okay, so here's teh deal... i've heard a lot of people say you shouldn't eat big meals two hours before you go to bed... others say you shouldn't eat a lot of carbs and some even say you shouldn't eat altogether before going to bed...

i've never, however, heard the reason why that was such a bad thing... it doesn't make much sence inside my head, so taht's why i'm posting this... is it okay to eat before going to bed and WHY?

i personally have a small meal (usually rice and beans with different stuff like salads, veggies, light meats, eggs, etc) about two hours before i retire for the day, and have a table spoon of natural peanut butter right before i lay down ...

my metabolism seems to be okay, specially since my six pack is starting to show and i've been eating like there's no tomorrow... so i just don't understand why people keep saying you shouldn't eat before going to bed, and i just wanted to know more about it...

holla back...

You should eat before bed - a protein base dmeal, preferably whey and casein derived protein to aide in muscle growth and recovery since most of that occurs at night.

The carbs before bed may be more easily stored because you aren't that actibve, but you are metabolically active, doing al the repair and regeneration.

many people don't eat enough early in the day, thus they binge at night. Most diet plans try to thwart that by saying no food after a certain time or no carbs after a certain time.

You are fairly young, mala, and muscular, so you are burning a ton of calories all of the time. As long as what you are doing is working, don't worry about the other stuff.
