does it really matter if you start a workout or whatever with out telling you doctor or going to the doctor???? if yes, why???

Well, unless you have known health concerns, I don't think it necessary. If you start your workout and then start having any kind of abnormal problems, you should stop immediately and see your doctor. DOMS does not count!!:big_smile::laugh::big_smile:

a lot of gyms say see your doc first to cover their backs. as bb1 says, if you've no significant past medical history I really think there is no need, as long as you start at a sensible pace. If you're really out of condition, obese and haven't exercised for a long time then start with something straightforward like walking and build up slowly. It's probably a good idea to get your blood pressure checked if your going to do weights but you don't need to see a doc for that, a lot of gyms do that as part of induction now.
Really we should be saying see your doc if you DON'T exercise, they're the people who really need to!
