..and I need to know if this is ok for someone who hasnt exercised in 6 or so months...weighs about 167 with no medical problems besides the fact that I've just been REAL lazy for a while. I am about a size 12 and want to get down to a size 4 or 5. I am trying to cut my body fat % way down. As low as I can get but still staying healthy. (does anyone know what that may be??)
My exercise plan is as follows...

Every day cardio for 1/2 hour. Every other day I alternate abs/arms and lower body. So 4 days a week would be abs/arms and 3 days all lower body exercises for butts and thighs. This is a strict plan that includes lowering my calorie intake to about 1500 a day. I have every vitamin needed also that I will be taking every day. Should my calorie intake be lower? Higher? Longer cardio sessions? Weight training is included in this also. All done at my local gym. Any tips would be greatly appreciated..I start tomorrow! :)

Brit - ease into the cardio if you haven't been doing, start with twice a week 15 - 20 minutes, and add 2 minutes a week, another session in a week or so. if you fatigue your heart you won't get results.

As a beginner, you could work total body circuits 3 times a week for a while to break in, then split out into upper/lower. 6 months off is enough time to put you back to beginner status.

Don't go lower than 1500 calories, you will stall out. My beginning diet amount is 1700 calories, as you agin mucle you may actually have to increase your clories to keep losing fat.

Bodyfat below 14% is when you can start having health problems (women compete around 9% or lower).
You would probably be very happy at 16-18%, considered very fit.

Have fun and enjoy the process!
