this is a hard group to target but important muscle group. i rec. using a band or cord anchored then pulling up with the foot. now i use a special shin isolator called dard? found that on www.bionicplyometrics.com

Good post Arnold. These are one of the many "little" muscle groups we tend to forget ebout when we are worrying about how big or small our arms are. This is a good way to keep shin-splints to a minimum.

you can also do these on a laying leg curl machine, turn around put your toes under the pad, and pull them up( keeping legs straight, but relaxing the quads). People look at ya funny, but they hurt like a bi&*( especially when supperseted with calf raises.
