HI! Ive been working out for the past 3 months using a really sucky program and i began to slow down and loose flexibility. Im taking up martial arts and cant afford that.I just started the Progressive training program. I was just wondering if this program would slow my movements down and if it would hinder my flexibility. :) Can someone please help explain to me more clearly the benefits of this program. I dont know if its the one for me! :big_smile:thanks:big_smile:
I do not believe the progressive training program would slow you down sir_colli. I was seriously into Taekwondo for many years and I had never found that weight training (in any form/program style) hurt or took away from my speed, agility or flexibility
...but I did make sure to do weights After my martial arts training, only because a great weight workout can take a lot of strength out of you thus resulting in being tired - and as you have probably noted, martial arts takes a good deal of steam to be able to spar, do pattern work or whatever cleanly. I would also recommend major time spent stretching before each type of exercise. Your flexibility in martial arts is very dependant on this factor. That's just my thoughts. Hope it helps :)
