My goal is to lose bf but stay about the same weight(126lb)
I've started a new resistance program 3 days a week with cardio on 3 of the other days (30-60mins)having not done either for 2 months due to an operation
I've had conflicting advice on what to drink postworkout
some have said high protein drink
some have said 3:1 carb:protein ratio is best
at the moment I am using 3:1 carb:protein(whey) drink but I don't know if this is right
advice+opinions welcomed
cheers

Yes, simple carb/protein drink would be fine. I would use 1/4 your lean mass weight equally divided between dextrose and maltodextrin, and the full amount in protein. So, if your lean mas is 110 for instance, you wuld want 27 grams carbs approximately divided equally, 13.5 each dextrose and maltodextrin, wit 27 gr. of protein. Then adjust this(this is a starting place for fat loss) to your needs as your calorie needs go down. Adjust for intensity of workouts.

rnc you need to know your lean mass...so if you're 10% bf...then you're about (198*0.9)178 lean mass...and you'd follow steps bb1 outlined....178/4=44.5/2=22.5 each between dextrose and maltodextrose and 44.5g protein...

So if I am 200, and 35% bf..... :)

Then you probably don't need a post workout shake with any simple carbs....fat loss is your goal.
