Well allow me to tell you a little bit about me and my life style. First off I am 41yrs old, 6ft tall and weight 130lbs.
I am a over the road truckdriver so going to a gym to workout is out of the question. I eat 5 to 6 meals a day and can not seem to put on any weight. I wish to put on some mass not flab. As for my weekly activeties I unload 2 loads of paper products (40,000 lbs each load)I walk about 2 miles a day, and do pushups, setups, and a few other excercises daily. I am on a high pro, low carb, 3500 cal diet that I have been on for a month now with no wieght gain but a 2 pound loss. Does anyone have any ideas that might help me bulk up a little. Thanks

If you want to bulk up, add some clean carbs like oatmeal, or brown rice, yams, barley.
You could purchase an inexpensive set of exercise tubing and do a routine on the road when you stop for rest, or at night (i don't know what kind of breaks you get) Do a search online for body elastics or exercise tubing, there is a company that makes a really handy kit for about $50, it comes with four bands, two handles, two ankle cuffs, and a door anchor, it also has a how-to booklet. You can do more than you thnk with bands, and when you use more than one, you can get some decent resistance.
Low carb dieting isn't going to help you gain mass.

Also - look thoruhg the posts in Fit buddy for mass gain, there may be some helpful info there.
Good luck!

Also, you should be consuming in excess of 3,500 calories. Try adding 250 cals per day for a week. So, this week, consume 3,750 cals per day. If you are still not gaining, up to 4,000 cals per day next week.

I am also a hardgainer, but after adjusting my diet, I was able to gain weight.

Thanks asimmer for your reply will have to check into the exercise tubing and will start adding more carbs to my diet. As for my rest/breaks they change from day to day. So it is hard to have a set time to do anything (meals, exercise, even rest) so I will have to fit any exercise program in when ever I have time. But it will be on a daily bases. Thanks for your ideas.
