I am just asking the ppl out there how many crunches they can do in one rep. After i get a few answers i will tell you how many i can do. Try it but if you can't do anymore just stop. Try it out and tell me.

i do one per rep, but multiple reps per set... heh... also, if you do crunches without any resistence on, you're just burning calories and not building your abs... and... i read somewhere that after you do 20 or so reps, you're actually doing more damage to yourself than you're doing good, so if you want to build your abs, you should use resistence and do relatively low sets... so don't be so proud of yourself if you can do 1000 crunches, since doing so would be fairly pointless =P

Use a heavy enough weight where you are doing no more than 15-20 reps per set. Treat your abs just like any other muscle, high a resistance as possible like you would for any other muscle group. Then apply the same amount of rest before doing them again. This will work the ab muscles, and build them so when you diet, you wil have your "six pack". Otherwise, you will simply be burning calories, but not developing a "six pack".

My wife did 1000 on her exersize ball while watching the superbowl yesterday. Yeah you probly think she is sick, but she sure looks good.

yeah exactly me too pbrane. i do about 200 and get so bored that i do some other exercise.
