Just curious how much cardio / week is suggested before it becomes counter productive to the mass-building objective. I enjoy (believe it or not) running on the treadmill or jogging outdoors, and I was told not to do very much cardio because it will limit my gains.
any thoughts?

2-3 times a week at 15-20 minutes should be enough. Thats what im doing
Im lifting monday/tuesday/thursday/friday and on wednesday and saturday I do 15 minutes of HIIT cardio on a bike and sunday I rest all day. I've lost a bit on my stomach Im still building in my chest and arms so it works for me. I wouldnt exceed that though.

If you are bulking, some cardio can help to keep the inevitable fat accumulation down a bit. Also don't forget cardiovascular health. The heart is a muscle also!

Great! I'm glad you mentioned HIIT too Goldengloves because I had forgot to ask about the intensity of the cardio. If I'm going to do cardio for 20 minutes I like to go hard or go home - no brisk walks for this dude.
