I'm curious to know whether there is an upper limit of calories a person can ingest and use efficiently. Well, I'm assuming that there is, and that it all depends on the individual, their metabolism, time taken, weight, etc. etc. So I'll try and make my question a little bit more specific.
I'm about 160 lbs, 5'10", pretty quick metabolism, and have a bf of 15 - 18% (guessing here - hard to say though). I'm currently taking Prolab's Nlarge2 weight gainer supplements. A full serving along with 500ml of 1% milk would amount to 69g P, 108g C, 11.2g F, total of 816 Calories. That sounds like quite a lot to take all at once. Generally, however, I do not take the full 4 scoops it suggests, but I'm curious to know if a (my) body would be capable of digesting and using all those calories at once.
According to my Ft Nutrition plan I'm to eat a max. of 3240 Cal / day (245gP, 408gC, 91gF), so I try to divide those up evenly into 5-6 meals. I'm doing fairly well so far (followed BB1fit's advice and started keeping a food journal - big help, thanks). Anyways, my question is just out of curiousity, or in case I'm behind in my daily calories and for whatever reason decide to take the whole shake at once. I just want to know that it won't be counterproductive or anything. Sorry about the long post.
