After reading many posts and researching myslef, I'm still having a hard time figuring out for myself exactly when i should do cardio.
What I'd like to know is when exactly i should be doing cardio (morning of workout days, off-days, post workout), and how to prepare for it to ensure that i burn fat, not muscle(what to eat, time of day...). Also, how important is the type of cardio, and monitoring my heart rate?
Everyone here has been so great, with many of the questions I've asked, I wanna thank whoever may answer this in advance, incase you don't return to the post,
Take care

If your concern is burning fat and keeping muscle, I would suggesst either doing it a minimum of 6-8 hours after your weight training, or even better on off days.
Vary your types of cardio, keep your body guessing, mix HIIT with standard cardio. Use different machines, even use an outside track if the weather permits, great for a HIIT type workout combining sprints and jogs.
