Right now i currently use a stairmaster for cardio. Is that fine or should I be running instead?

It's not the equipment you use (or not use) but how you do cardio that's important. Also, you've gotta like it...otherwise you may lose motivation.

The stairmaster is much better on the joints.

Mix your cardio regimine up with high-intensity for 15-20 minutes and low-intensity like a medium-pace jog for a 1/2 hour.

Stairmaster is better on the joints - but the *best* thing for burning calories would be to do different things - maybe do stairmaster most workouts, and throw some running in there!
