If you're done with your loading, then take it following your workout. You may mix it with protein, just drink it immediately, and make sure that there is enough carbs in the drink in order optimize uptake of the creatine. Creatine can be very effective if the brand is of high quality, if it's taken correctly, and if the user does not have a natural resistance to it.
