I just began working out, and for the first 5 months of lifting i was hyperextending my knee while squatting (letting it go past my toes). My knees now bother me all the time, wether walking up stairs or just bending down. What should I do? Will there be any permanent damage? How long will the pain last?

You might need to see a doctor. Is your knee swolen.

It's not what we eat or drink occasionally, but what we consume on a daily basis that determines our ongoing level o health.
